“Healing Hands Institute has given me the chance to pursue massage in areas of special interest to me. My love of massage, and to share myself and my talents with others.

Faculty Profile

HHI strongly believes in giving back to the community through volunteerism. Our volunteer program would not be possible without the tireless work of one of our instructors, Kathy Antler. Kathy teaches the Massage Techniques courses here at the school.

After working with the Paramus Volunteer Ambulance Corps for more than 23 years, Kathy decided to become a Massage Therapist. She is a Healing Hands Institute graduate, completing the program in 1992.

Kathy has worked with a number of organizations to provide massages for their events. For the past eight years, Kathy and her volunteers have given monthly massages to the Buddies of New Jersey, a non-profit group in Hackensack which offers support and services to people living with HIV and AIDS. She has been awarded an Honorary Buddy by the organization and continues to build a volunteer force of therapists. She has also been fundamental in setting up events for Bergen Bike Tour, MS Walk, and Shelter Our Sisters, among others.

In addition to her teaching and volunteer work for HHI, Kathy also teaches a continuing education class in Hot Stone Massage and coordinates our Canine Massage workshop.
